Survios

Our deep-dive operational model assisted management in planning the company’s internal growth initiatives through dynamic scenario planning engines. Furthermore, a detailed portfolio-based target financial model & valuation assisted the company in assessing the viability of the M&A deal along with planning the leverage and returns associated with structuring the LBO deal.

Challenge

Survios, a virtual reality company that creates interactive content for multiple VR platforms, initiated an overhaul of its growth strategy which included investments within multiple business units, packaging products and their development for 3 rd party sponsors, and analyzing a potential M&A (LBO) deal of a game development company.

Approach

In Phase I, Trivium Advisory created a detailed operational model of the Target company with granular assumptions on the underlying drivers of the company’s games portfolio. In Phase II, A scenario manager engine was created to analyze the affect on the target company post-merger with a view on synergies and potential growth initiatives to boost financial performance. For a view on how the deal could be structured, we developed an LBO model to communicate the target’s cash flow projections and layered them into a set of Proforma/Consolidated Financials. In Phase III, Trivium enhanced Survios’ financial model and added functionality for new products/games by developing a dynamic assumptions engine and add-ons in the form of multi-site location-based entertainment ventures ramps, a JV model, and other growth initiatives.
